Hydrated Compounds

 
Hydrated compounds have water as part of their chemical formula. Anhydrous compounds have had their water removed from them. The formula of a hydrate is written a bit differently. An example of this is

  1. I really enjoyed learning about anhydrous salts and hydrate compounds-- the lab helped me see it in action, too! Thanks for the good post-- it helped me really retain what i learned during the unit. The only thing I might add would be a link! Good work.

  2. Good explanation on the difference between a hydrate and an anhydrous salt. I would add either a picture or a link for more clarification.
