Uses: Yarrow is an antiseptic (disinfectant), anti-flammatory, pain reliever, and clots blood to stop bleeding.

Preparation: Flowers are crushed or chewed into a poultice and applied directly to the wound.

Genus and Species name: Plantago Lanceolata

Habitat:  Eastern Deciduous Forrest and Tall Grass Prairie

Active Chemical Ingredients: Aucubin

Uses: Plantain fights infection, is an anti-inflammatory, and stops bleeding.

Preparation: Hot leaf poultice for inflammation and infection. Decoction of dried leaves for bleeding
